Walmart has a sawzall for $25 that's held up, should you care for another $25 prize.

I’ll second this. angle grinder and sawzall are wonderful tools. Though ultimately, cordless impact might take the cake.

What have you used the sawzall on? Cordless impact definitely is nice, picked one of them up last year.

I cut a shifter in half yesterday with the sawzall (seriously people should never be allowed to use red locktite) . Basically works great in places where an angle grinder won’t work. I’ve used it quite a bit for cutting pipe/bar since it’s way faster than an angle grinder and doesn’t really produce dust.

And a sawzall will not throw sparks like a cutoff wheel. But I love my metabo. Now I have a Milwaukee cordless grinder, and that’s a nice little tool right there. No air or power cord needed.
